Fashion in Motion, Meadham Kirchhoff

(This image, I stole from Google images)

Friday 6th December: Meadham Kirchhoff, the fashionista’s go to designer-duo for popping colours that one might only have long distant memories of seeing simultaneously when opening a pack of Crayola colouring pencils. Highlights of their Womenswear shows were revisited on the theatrical catwalk of the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Four free catwalk shows invited the public, including my two friends (who are currently on distant travels exploring the universe; at the moment they are in India) and I, to have the off-chance experience of what is deemed normally as an exclusive event. Go Fashion in Motion!

Layers of lace, broderie, frills and sequins so delicately screaming kawaii of the Far eastern Harajuku Streets, sharpened with tailored yet féminine silhouettes of Western antiquity- This is only a slight description of what is to be seen by this talented-duo, who splatter their combined artistry onto material. Post- show, I felt inspired and have considered getting a pair of diamond encrusted ice skating tights as some of the stockings the models wore, reminded me of them. Wintry & magical!

Below are some iPhone quality images of my day.

Bocci light chandelier, a must see at the V&A!

The Natural History Museum looking super wintry and pretty. <3

Charlie & Natalie taking a photo of the ceiling, as you do.
